Dental Veneers

There are many procedures to spruce up an entire smile, from teeth whitening to braces. However, if the issues you have with your smile are limited to one or a few teeth, there is a wonderful procedure Carrington Dental Care is excited to share with you: dental veneers!

Dental veneers (also called porcelain veneers) are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front and sometimes the side of your teeth. They are an instant fix for many smile problems:

  • DAMAGED TEETH

    | If you have teeth that are chipped, cracked, broken or otherwise damaged, porcelain veneers are an excellent treatment.

  • MISSHAPEN TEETH

    | If you have teeth that are too small, misshapen or have a gap between them, dental veneers can give you a lovely smile.

  • DULL OR DISCOLORED TEETH

    | If you’d like to brighten all the teeth in your smile, you can have dental veneers placed on all of those teeth in a shade that is lighter than your original teeth for a lighter, brighter smile.

If you only have one or a few dental veneers placed, they will be custom made at the lab to be the right color, shade, shape and size to fit your smile perfectly. This means your porcelain veneers will not look like “odd” teeth that don’t match, but rather like natural teeth you’ve had your whole life.

Traditional Veneers

In the process for traditional dental veneers our Carrington dentist, Dr. Jay Bauer removes the small outer layer of enamel off of your teeth to help the porcelain veneers bond to the teeth. This is an easy process and one that our office has performed for years.

Prepless Veneers

Prepless veneers have no real preparation before our Carrington dentist, Dr. Jay Bauer places the porcelain veneers. If you choose to have the prepless veneers removed, your teeth are still in their original, unaltered state, as if you never had the veneers on in the first place.

As with all things, there are positives and negatives with both prepless and traditional veneers, so our well-trained team can work with you so you make the best choice for yourself. Whatever dental veneers choice you make, we are confident that you will love your new smile.
